Almost 4 Months Since My Last Post... EEKKKS

As I was growing up I would repeatedly start a journal, repeatedly write how I would write again soon, repeatedly apologize for not writing for awhile, & so the cycle would go... well apparently I do the same with blogs. From the title of this post you can see it's been 4 months & that is hard to comprehend, time has been rolling.

In the last 4 mos I did NOT sky dive :( sing karaoke :( or stop on the West coast of FL :( But I DID make it from West Coast to East Coast :) start & finish a Microbiology class along side a lab :) I went to Oahu, Hawaii :) & I decided to get married :)

After my last post, I spent my last month wrapping things up in CA & ended my almost 7 month job with the 2 yr old triplets & their 4 yr old brother. My last day with them I accompanied the kids & their mom to an eye doctors appointment & then we went back home where the 2 yr olds napped & I watched the 4 yr old play until the Mom came back home. I was given a memory book of my time there w/ them & I left, departing for the East Coast.

I stopped in Tucson, AZ for some rest, then later continued the next day towards Texas. I again stopped somewhere outside San Antonio & rested knowing I'd need it to keep up w/ my nieces & nephews. I spent the next couple days in San Leon, TX. I visited an old childhood friend in Houston. I spent the nights sitting up & talking to my sister, my nieces & nephews actually took it easy on me & my days were quiet while they went with my sister to work.

Tuesday, June 23, I departed TX for FL & arrived in the early morning on Wednesday at my Dad's. On Monday, June 29, I was sitting in Microbiology ready to start my last nursing pre-requisite. A lab, twice a week, was given for the class. Where I learned how dirty my hands & face were. I also learned Bath & Body Works products have some really strong antimicrobial properties (in some cases stronger than Lysol) Purell & Germ X are lousy... Also the ingredient of salsa with the most antimicrobial power is garlic, believe it or not it's not peppers. Just thought you'd like the fun facts.

After Micro ended... I sat waiting for what seemed the longest week ever to pass so I could be on my way to Hawaii.  I arrived in Hawaii on August 21 & the trip was over before I knew it. While in Hawaii I spent time with my boyfriend, brother, mom, & amazing Marines. I really do love the relationship that fellow servicemen have with one another as they serve our country. It was so comforting knowing they are each others other family. We hiked a rigorous hike to a waterfall there in Hawaii & were accompanied by some of the amazing Marines... they also loaned their personal cars so we could explore the island. Believe it or not you can get lost on a small island  lol. I also experienced kayaking on Kaneohe Bay with my boyfriend & a Luau with my mom & brother. I shopped & dined in Wakiki. I saw many scenic points of the island courtesy of being lost  haha.   Oh we even got my Mom to play beer pong which was so amusing... she actually kicked my rear 3 rounds & when I passed the fourth game my very good partner beat her & my brother solo... haha

Since being back I have been very bored, as I'm learning it's not easy getting a job around here :/... no one wants to hire someone for just a few months.

But on the brighter side I have been anxiously awaiting February when I get to marry a very amazing, incredible, wonderful man. We are having a very small intimate ceremony on the beach with my dad & his mom beside us. We later plan on the bigger ceremony accompanied by friends & family.

Originally I thought I would marry after school was complete but I'm learning life doesnt always go the way you planned... well I think that its constantly biting me in the rear reminding me. My thoughts went from being "if we're meant to be we'll be... we'll last through a distant relationship & 2.5 more years of schooling" now my thoughts are at "these last 6 mos have been hard... I'm strong & can get through it but do I want to, I am fortunate to be with my guy if I want to be at any moment... but not all people are that fortunate." I applied to an LPN program here in FL. My plan now is to get accepted into the December LPN program here in FL... get married in Feb... & finish my LPN schooling Dec 2010 by this time I hope we have been accepted for our on base housing. Couples I have messaged said they waited approx 6 mos for on base housing so we should. I want to be able to be with my amazing future hubby as soon as I finish school. I will either finish out my schooling for RN in HI or once we return back to the states.

I just want my cake & to eat it too :)

-XOXOXOXO-
